After more than 16 years in operation MCS has become a market leader in Mobile Conveying Services in Australia. MCS has grown from a single machine to owning and operating a substantial fleet of mobile conveying equipment both domestically and internationally and its fleet is significant in global terms.
Starting as a contractor, MCS quickly learnt the limitations of equipment available in Australia, so MCS searched the world for equipment that could operate reliably and productively in a contracting environment, where it was necessary at times to work around the clock.
Having achieved this by utilising equipment from various domestic and international suppliers along with custom built equipment,
MCS addressed the variability of service support by setting up its own workshops, firstly to maintain MCS equipment and then to offer services to the general market. Having achieved this by bringing equipment from the North American market to Australia.
Starting with wet hire, MCS quickly realised that for different clients and applications had different needs. MCS developed dry hire, contract and purchase options to meet these needs, as there was a perceived lack of alternatives in the market, backed by practical experience across a range of industries and applications.
The need for reliability in its own fleet led MCS to develop in-house fabrication, painting and mechanical, electrical and hydraulic services for everything up to a complete strip and rebuild. These services are now offered to the general market.
With these capabilities it can now build or modify equipment to fit gaps in the market that are not economically met by production machines.
